| The 2009 Edition of the California CHPS Criteria was released for a second round of public review on Monday, December 22, 2008. The public review period will end Wednesday, January 7th, 2009. | Relocatable Classroom Criteria and Volume Public Review Is Now Closed |
| The first draft of the new High Performance Relocatable Criteria and Scorecard, in addition to the revised Best Practices Volume 6, was released for 15-day public review on Thursday, November 20th, 2008. | U.S. House of Representatives Approves $20 Billion for Green Schools |
| CHPS Named as Building Standard for Qualifying Projects |
| The US House of Representatives approved a bill that would put over $20 billion towards improving school facilities across the US. The 21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act would provide phased-in funding over the next five years. CHPS was named as one of the three recognized building standards for the funding. By 2013, 90% of the funding will have to be used for green schools. Read the Associated Press article here. |
