New Zealand Councils, are also taking advantage of the products international success with Auckland City Council among others, enjoying the benefits of Tennant’s City Cleaning solutions.
James Daniels of Tennant Company explains, “With a light enough footprint to deliver paved area services and yet robust enough to clean city roadways, curbs and channels, green machines benefit councils by their ability to multi-task eliminating the need for a wide variety of specific equipment – the Tennant green machines do the entire job.”
If you’ve noticed that the city of Auckland is looking cleaner and greener than ever it is because of the combination of Tennant Green machines and Civic Contractors, responsible in part for the cleaning of Auckland City Council precinct.
Civic Contractors are a cleaning equipment contractor based in New Zealand headed by Managing Direct, Paul Sinden. Tennant Company worked closely with Civic Contractors, in determining the best methodology to deliver a cost-effective cleaning solution that would ensure the streets of Auckland, New Zealand are cleaned to a very high standard. After several trials and a successful tender, Civic Contractors purchased seven of Tennant’s green machines (3 x 36, 3 x 525 and 1 x 414) to service Auckland City Council and the area is looking cleaner than ever.
The Tennant equipment cleaning Auckland City Council uses a customised innovation called the ‘One Shot’, a system invented by Tennant’s Paul McGillivray that allows footpaths as wide as four metres to be cleaned in one pass drastically increasing the efficiency of City Cleaning.
Councils are no longer limited to the more manual rubbish pick-up of the past during the day time nor restricted to a small window for heavy equipment machine cleaning. Green Machines, part of Tennant’s expanded outdoor line of cleaning equipment, has made the job of ‘City Cleaning’ far easier. Low level noise emissions and low sweeping emissions as well as a pedestrian friendly design, gives clients the capacity to provide service during the day and makes the service more visible to the community.
