Green Machines™ Air Sweepers Enhance Company’s Broad Suite of Outdoor Cleaning Solutions

The compact and versatile 636 Air Sweeper is ideal for keeping congested downtown spaces, parking decks, walkways, curbsides, or other public areas clean and safe. Tennant Company acquired Applied Sweepers, maker of Green Machines brand cleaning equipment, in February of 2008 to enhance its line of outdoor cleaning solutions. The 636 Air Sweeper is the first Green Machines product to be sold by Tennant Sales and Service Company, a subsidiary of Tennant Company.

The 636 Air Sweeper includes a number of advanced technologies, such as CloudMaker™ and Vari-track™, that help enhance the image of virtually any public space while improving the safety of the operator, the community and the environment. The CloudMaker suppresses dust on contact with atomized water particles. When combined with advanced three-stage filtration technology, it provides exceptional dust control and allows the 636 Air Sweeper to leave behind cleaner air than traditional sweepers. CloudMaker technology also uses 70 percent less water than traditional dust control systems and eliminates the need for a complicated water recycling system. The Vari-track extendable front axle provides unprecedented stability when moving at up to 20 miles per hour (32 km/h) between worksites and, combined with four-wheel drive and a fully independent suspension system, offers superior maneuverability and versatility.

The operator-focused design of the 636 Air Sweeper provides virtually all-around visibility; a fully adjustable suspension seat; height adjustable power steering; ergonomic, single button controls; and a heated windshield. These features improve operator productivity by making the sweeper comfortable to drive. The 636 Air Sweeper’s removable access panels, outward swinging water tank, and tilting cab all make routine maintenance and servicing quick, easy, and cost-effective by providing complete access to all major systems. The 636 Air Sweeper offers a 133 yd³ (1m³) stainless steel hopper, a 1760 lb (800 kg) payload capacity, and up to an 80-inch (2,030 mm) cleaning path.
