TennantTrue® Squeegees Frequently Asked Questions

   

Selecting the proper squeegee for your application is critical to efficient water control and pick-up. Tennant offers three types of squeegees to suit your needs:

Premium

These squeegees include materials from Linatex Ltd’s LINATEX® and come standard on most Tennant scrubbers. These materials are produced using a proprietary manufacturing process and exhibit outstanding strength, resilience, and resistance to cutting and tearing.

  • LINATEX® – high-performing, long-lasting material, delivering superior performance in wet applications.
  • LINARD® – a harder, tear and wear resistant material from Linatex Ltd designed for front squeegee blade use.
Chemical resistent
  • Polyurethane – chemical-resistant material with long service life, and well suited for use with organic and petroleum-based oils.
Economy
  • Gum Rubber – a cost-effective combination of natural material and fillers for use on smooth, even indoor floors. Tennant’s Gum Rubber squeegees are tan in color.

   

Better cleaning performance requires less rework, resulting in lower labor costs, reduced risk of safety claims, and lower costs for maintenance and parts.

   

Tennant recommends rotating blades when the squeegee shows signs of damage or decreased performance:

  • Persistent streaking
  • Torn edges
  • Redueced water pick-up
  • Uneven wear

Each squeegee has four usable edges, extending blade life and maintaining cleaning performance.

   

TennantTrue OEM parts are designed and tested by Tennant engineers to optimize the cleaning performance of Tennant equipment. “Tennant Aftermarket” parts not designed by Tennant may not have equal form, fit, or function, which can result in less effective cleaning performance and higher costs.

   

All premium LINATEX® and LINARD® squeegee blades contain the Tennant logo, which can help differentiate between TennantTrue squeegees and look-alike squeegees.
