Nominate your favorite K-12 school custodian!
We appreciate school custodians for more than just their cleaning skills. And this year, custodians are more important than ever for keeping schools clean and safe.
We love their friendly personalities, can-do attitudes and willingness to help in any situation. That’s why we’re re-launching the Custodians are Key contest for the 2020-2021 school year!
Nominate your custodian between September 15 and November 15, 2020. We will select 12 custodians to receive a $500 gift card. At the end of the school year, one of the 12 finalists will win a $5,000 value prize for themselves and $10,000 for their school!
Using the form below, tell us why your favorite custodian deserves to win one of our great prizes. And don’t forget, their school can win, too!

Nomination Tips
We want to hear your best memories and stories about your school custodian and why those stories make them the best custodian in the country. Think about questions such as:
- How do they make our school better?
- What do they do that is above and beyond their daily job?
- How do they show the children and staff they care?
- If my custodian didn’t work here anymore, how would that impact the school, students and staff?
- What specific stories show how important our custodian is to our school?
Tell us how your custodian goes above and beyond in their job to make your school a happier, healthier, safer place to learn and work. Our committee of judges will select finalists and winners based on the quality of the nomination and the impact the custodian makes on their school.
