In light of the expanding global outbreak of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus), customers have asked us a variety of questions about our response to this evolving situation. First and foremost, Tennant Company values the health and safety of our employees, customers, and business partners. We are actively monitoring the United States Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization for new developments and guidance regarding the outbreak.
We take very seriously our obligation to you to provide the equipment, parts, and service you need to keep your facilities clean and healthy for your employees and your business. At this time, we do not believe our parts supply is at risk and are confident in our ability to meet your needs. However, our Global Supply organization are engaging with our direct suppliers and partners to ensure we are actively managing the situation, including identifying potential areas of risk and evaluating options to minimize potential for future issues.
Our management teams are working with our staff to activate protocols intended to reduce the risk of transmission, protecting our people and yours. In the event that we have staff members that become sick, especially service staff who work on time-sensitive calls, we are establishing back-up plans to ensure minimal disruption.
The situation continues to be very fluid, but with what is known today we are confident that we are positioned well to manage through it. We have a Response Team in place to track and distribute information, support our local response teams in locations around the world, and manage potential business impacts.
